Regency and Georgian Contra Dance ClassAutumn Term Dates: 4th of September, 6th and 20th of November
Time: 7-9pm
Location: The Chadwick Dance Studio, Cheney School, Cheney Lane, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7QH
Dance Mistress: Dr Helen Davidge
At this class we will have live music accompaniment of Warriner Baroque, the UK's only State School Baroque group. The ensemble is run by Dylan McCaig
The cost is £5 for the class.
Once you have attended two classes, and decide you would like to continue, there is an annual fee (due in January) of £10 to cover insurance. Reduced to £5 if joining after June.
What to Wear and Bring
There is no kitchen, so it is advisable to bring a bottle of water with you.
Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear for moving and dancing around in.
Not essential but Ballet or Jazz shoes or Greek sandals are recommended for regular attendees.
No partner or costume necessary.
Over 18s only.
As well as learning dances our favourite Heroes and Heroines would have danced to, these are social dances and the aim is to have fun!
