Join us for the 16th Annual- Kwanzaa Market Festival, Saturday, December 6, 2025, in San Antonio from 12 pm - 4 pm at the SBC Community Center(3310 E. Commerce Street San Antonio TX 78220)

The Pan African Cultural Community (PACC) invites you to join us for the 16th Annual Kwanzaa Market Festival 2025, a vibrant celebration of African heritage, culture, and community! This year's festival offers an exciting opportunity to learn more about Kwanzaa, its rich history, and the significance of its celebrations, while also supporting local businesses and cultural entrepreneurs.

Learn About Kwanzaa:

Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration that honors African heritage and culture. The festival begins on December 26th and ends on January 1st, with each day dedicated to one of the seven principles (Nguzo Saba). During the Kwanzaa Market Festival, participants will have the chance to engage with educational displays, hear from cultural speakers, and learn how Kwanzaa is celebrated worldwide. Discover the history behind the holiday and explore its meanings, rituals, and traditions that strengthen the African-American community.

Kwanzaa Principles (Nguzo Saba):

Each day of Kwanzaa is dedicated to one of the seven principles that help guide the celebration:

Umoja (Unity): To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race.

Kujichagulia (Self-Determination): To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves, and speak for ourselves.

Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility): To build and maintain our community together and make our brothers’ and sisters’ problems our problems and to solve them together.

Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics): To build and maintain our own stores, shops, and other businesses and to profit from them together.

Nia (Purpose): To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.

Kuumba (Creativity): To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.

Imani (Faith): To believe with all our hearts in our people, our parents, our teachers, our leaders, and the righteousness and victory of our struggle.
