This trip has been designed so that we don’t spend the whole holiday constantly packing and moving. We’ll experience four very different sides of Thailand, with enough time in each destination to actually enjoy it.

We begin our adventure in vibrant Bangkok, a city full of colour, culture, food, rooftop bars, markets and incredible temples.

During our stay we’ll have the opportunity to experience some of Bangkok’s highlights, including the famous Maeklong Railway Market and floating market, where you can see a completely different side of everyday Thai life.

We’re also considering a traditional long-tail boat experience, taking us through Bangkok’s waterways with a visit to the impressive Wat Paknam and its giant Buddha additional fee TBC

One evening, we’ll dress up and enjoy a luxury 5 Star buffet dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River, watching Bangkok’s illuminated temples and landmarks as we dine.

Bangkok gives us the perfect lively introduction to Thailand before heading somewhere completely different.

By night we travel by tuk-tuk for vibrant markets, Chinatown, stunning temples, with traditional Thai food, and the energetic nightlife vibe of Khao San Road.

Next, we escape the busy city and head into the beautiful countryside of Kanchanaburi.

Here we’ll stay in a very different setting, with the opportunity to experience floating accommodation surrounded by nature, subject to availability.

Kanchanaburi is known for its rivers, mountains, waterfalls and history, making it a wonderful contrast to Bangkok.

This part of the trip is about slowing down, enjoying the scenery and experiencing a side of Thailand that many visitors never see.

Optional visit to The Death Railway in Kanchanaburi not a single attraction.

Then it’s time for the beaches.

We’ll spend 4 nights in Krabi, surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs, turquoise water, tropical islands and beautiful beaches.

Krabi gives us plenty of options. You can relax on the beach, explore the lively areas around Ao Nang, enjoy restaurants and bars, or join one of the fantastic island-hopping excursions.

We’ll have the opportunity to visit some of the famous islands and beaches around Krabi by boat including Phi Phi Island, with swimming, sightseeing and plenty of incredible photo opportunities.

There will also be free time, because this is a holiday is not a military operation.

We finish our Thailand adventure with 5 relaxing nights in Khao Lak.

After all our sightseeing and travelling, this is where we can properly unwind.

Khao Lak is known for its long sandy beaches, beautiful resorts, laid-back atmosphere and spectacular sunsets.

You can spend your days relaxing by the pool or beach, enjoying massages and spa treatments, exploring local restaurants, roof top bars and markets, or joining optional excursions.

One of the biggest attractions from Khao Lak is the opportunity to visit the stunning Similan Islands, famous for crystal-clear water, white sand and incredible marine life.

With five nights here, you don’t have to choose between sightseeing and relaxing, there’s plenty of time for both.

Travelling is wonderful, but sometimes the hardest part is finding someone who is available at exactly the same time as you.

That’s where Get A Social Life comes in.

We are transferred from the airport to our hotel

11th Free Time to explore and relax

10.30 am We visit the Maeklong Railway Market and the Damnoen Saduak. Interact with friendly local market vendors.

8pm we enjoy the amazing experience of cruising on a 5 star buffet luxury cruise in the beautiful night time atmosphere on the Chao Phraya River.

13th Free Time

You can visit Wat Paknam which is currently free to enter. You can wander around independently, see the giant golden Buddha and visit the pagoda.

• Grand Palace + Wat Phra Kaew 500 THB £11
• You can buy tickets yourself at the entrance or online and explore independently.
• Wat Pho — 300 THB £9. It is next to the Grand Palace, so it is very easy to visit both on the same day without a tour.

Whoever is interested we can visit Grand Palace + Wat Pho independently or as a group in the morning, then arrange a long-tail boat trip to Wat Paknam afterwards. That gives us a nice mix of sightseeing and an experience, without paying for a full guided tour.

6.30pm We discover the true beauty of Bangkok at night by tuk-tuk: vibrant markets, Chinatown, stunning temples, Michelin-recommended traditional Thai food, and the energetic nightlife vibe of Khao San Road.

• 16th Optional visit in Kanchanaburi a historic World War II railway with several important sites along the route.

• Tham Krasae / Wampo Viaduct, where the train runs along a wooden trestle beside the cliff
• Bridge over the River Kwai
• War Cemetery and railway museums
• Hellfire Pass, with its museum and walking trail

Day 1: Arrive in Kanchanaburi, visit the River Kwai Bridge and War Cemetery, then enjoy a relaxed evening.

Day 2: Visit Erawan Waterfalls followed by a Death Railway train journey, ideally including the Tham Krasae section.

• Bangkok: around 33–35°C daytime, warm evenings, humid, mostly dry with the occasional shower.
• Kanchanaburi: around 34–36°C, often hotter inland than Bangkok, so your Erawan/Death Railway day could feel very warm.
• Krabi: around 31–33°C, hot and tropical with plenty of sunshine. March is still a strong month for island trips before the wetter season builds later.
• Khao Lak: around 31–33°C, warm sea, sunny spells and generally good beach weather. As it sits on Thailand’s west coast, March is still within the better part of the season for beaches and boat trips.
