Dear colleagues,On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 15th Congress of the Croatian Soil Science Society entitled: “Soil Management and Interdisciplinary Approaches to Global Challenges”, which will be held in Vodice, Croatia, from September 14 to 18, 2026.
The Congress is organized by the Croatian Soil Science Society and takes place every four years with the aim of bringing together scientists and experts in the fields of soil science, agronomy, ecology, and related disciplines, as well as agricultural producers and stakeholders. This event provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge, innovations, and the latest scientific achievements in an interdisciplinary environment. In addition to a rich scientific program, we believe you will also take the opportunity to explore the beauty of the Dalmatian coast and discover the cultural and natural heritage of the region.
Through a series of plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations, and workshops, the Congress will cover current topics related to soil conservation and sustainable land management. Special attention will be given to innovative methods of soil monitoring, climate change, and the adaptation of agricultural systems to emerging challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in panel discussions and exchange experiences and best practices with colleagues from Croatia and abroad.
Field excursions will also be organized, providing insights into successful examples of soil management in various agroecological conditions. In addition to the scientific program, the Congress will feature a social program including a gala dinner, cultural excursions, and informal gatherings in a friendly atmosphere. These activities are intended to foster networking among participants and encourage new collaborations contributing to the advancement of the soil science community. We also warmly invite all interested participants to submit abstracts and papers for presentation, which will be published in the Congress Proceedings. We are confident that the 15th Congress of the Croatian Soil Science Society will make an important contribution to raising awareness of the role of soil in sustainable development, and serve as an opportunity to generate new ideas and partnerships.
