We celebrate Wildcats all evening. Alumni gather to reminisce and shine a light on past accomplishments that have paved the way for Wildcats today. It is a fun filled evening. This year we will induct Mr. Leon Schrader, Leon came to Hardee County to become the Hardee Varsity Basketball Coach. He served in many roles over 19 years. As Athletic Director Leon Schrader implemented our girls sports programs at HHS after the passing of Title IX in Florida. He drove the team bus and supported the girls track and basketball teams from their humble beginnings in 1975. Leon later served on the Hardee County School Board beginning in 1988. He and his wife Patty Jo owned Pals Pools. Their two daughters are Missy and Keri.
Leon entered his eternal home in 2008.
We will also recognize the 1986 Hardee Wildcat Football Team. The team finished the regular season with a flawless 10-0 record under head coach Bob Martin. This iconic squad is celebrated in Wildcat history for achieving one of the most dominant campaigns and laid the foundation for the powerhouse culture of the Wildcat football program of the late 80’s and 90’s teams.
