Overall Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
-Apply current clinical practice guidelines and evidence‑based recommendations to the diagnosis and management of common endocrine disorders encountered in primary care, including diabetes, thyroid disease, metabolic bone disease, PCOS, dyslipidemia, and adrenal disorders.
-Implement practical, patient‑centered treatment strategies to optimize glycemic control and cardiovascular risk reduction, including appropriate use of combination pharmacotherapies and diabetes technologies in primary care settings.
-Identify, assess, and manage endocrine conditions in special clinical contexts—including pregnancy, perioperative care, and adrenal insufficiency—to reduce complications and improve patient safety.
-Employ case‑based clinical reasoning to manage complex and multimorbid endocrine presentations, determining when to investigate, treat, monitor, or refer to specialist care.
-Integrate practice‑changing clinical pearls into routine care to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration, shared decision‑making, and real‑world application of endocrinology knowledge in primary care.
