About this Event
Enjoy a heartfelt breakfast and connect with fellow L.A. LEE YMCA veterans while watching the YMCA’s 12th Annual Veterans Day Salute.
This year’s keynote speaker is Captain Charles Plumb a former United States Naval Aviator who was a Prisoner of War for 2,103 days during the Vietnam War. Charlie Plumb has endured extreme hardship and used that experience to transform his life in a profound way. Captain Plumb flew the F-4 Phantom and helped develop the Navy Fighter Weapons School, more commonly known today as “TOP GUN.” His military honors include the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts, and the P.O.W. Medal.
We look forward to celebrating L.A. Lee Veterans’ contributions through the sharing of their stories with those who understand the true meaning of service.
