Born from deep loss and transformed into communal resilience, Death Faire has become an extraordinary annual gathering where thousands of people from all walks of life come together to explore what our society so often avoids: death. Rooted in the principles of death positivity, this one-of-a-kind event is part of a growing cultural movement that encourages honest conversations about mortality and reminds us to live more fully.
Since its founding in 2016 in Pittsboro, North Carolina, Death Faire has grown into a vibrant festival featuring nationally recognized speakers, live music, art, healing experiences, workshops, rituals, food, and community. Attendees come seeking meaningful connections, thoughtful conversations, unique products, and resources that support living, dying, caregiving, grief, healing, and personal growth.
We invite you to be part of this inspiring experience by sharing your products, services, or organization with an engaged, curious, and compassionate audience. Whether you offer art, books, wellness services, handmade goods, end-of-life resources, or other mission-aligned offerings, Death Faire provides a welcoming space to connect with people who value authenticity, creativity, and community.
Join us in creating a day that honors life, embraces death, and celebrates the resilience of the human spirit.
