The Gwynn Factor is a vibrant, engaging comedienne born and raised in Illinois and now based in Washington, D.C. Her comedy is a bold, honest examination of life through her unique lens, delivered with an adventurous storytelling style that makes audiences feel like they’ve known her their entire lives.
Known for her quick wit and infectious sense of humor, The Gwynn Factor pursued comedy professionally after winning her battle with breast cancer in 2019. One open mic was all it took—she caught the comedy bug and never looked back. Not even a global pandemic could slow her momentum. In early 2021, she created, wrote, produced, and performed her own one-hour Mother’s Day comedy special, It’s a Mutha Being a Mother©, professionally filmed live in her backyard and available on Sharezo.com.
She is the 2022 Season 1 winner of the That Ain’t It Comedy Competition and the host of the television cooking show Munchin’ and Lunchin’ with The Gwynn Factor, both airing on Alley Oop Television. Her film credits include Da Lot – A DMV Comedy (2022) and Da Kickback (2023), where she co-starred as Ms. Gwynn—both streaming on Tubi. In 2024, she earned Best of the Fest at the Black Women in Comedy Festivalin New York City.
The Gwynn Factor has performed on iconic stages including the legendary Apollo Theater in NYC, historic Yuk Yuk’s in Toronto, and the Jimmy Kimmel Comedy Club in Las Vegas. She is widely recognized as one of comedy’s funniest rising voices, sharing stages with Rita Brent, Michael Colyar, Melanie Camacho, Joe Clair, Red Grant, Just Nesh, Rodney Perry, George Wallace, George Willborn, Damon Williams, and Tony Woods.
