*REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL YOUNG KINGS AND ADULT ATTENDEES.*
1) IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION: All adults attending with registered Young Kings—including parents/family members, teachers, counselors, coaches, mentors, and chaperones—must also register through Eventbrite.
2) IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES:
If your Young King will be attending separately from a school, group, team, organization, etc., a parent/guardian will be required to complete a participation waiver. We are working to provide the waiver in advance, and copies will also be available at the registration table on the day of the summit.

For 10 years, R.E.A.L. Manhood 101(RM101) has created spaces where Young Kings can be seen, heard, challenged, supported, connected, and exposed to what is possible for their lives.
This year, we are taking that mission even deeper.
The theme for the Summit is ONE MENTOR AWAY—built around a powerful truth:
A young man can be one conversation away from seeing himself differently.
One relationship away from believing he belongs.
One opportunity away from discovering something he didn't know was possible.
And sometimes, one mentor away from changing the direction of his life.
THIS ISN'T JUST AN EVENT. IT'S AN EXPERIENCE.
The R.E.A.L. Manhood 101 Youth Leadership Summit & College Day is a high-energy, interactive experience designed specifically for young males in grades 7–12.
Throughout the day, Young Kings will engage with positive male mentors, educators, leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and community members from different backgrounds who are committed to pouring into the next generation.
And this year, we're creating even more opportunities for student voice, connection, belonging, and real conversation.
Young Kings will experience:
- College exposure at Sacramento State
- Belonging Circles where their voices and stories matter
- Mentorship and meaningful conversations with men from diverse backgrounds
- Emotional regulation and communication-under-pressure experiences
- Interactive challenges, competitions, and team-building activities
- Opportunities to practice leadership, decision-making, communication, and asking for help
- Lunch provided, giveaways, recognition, entertainment, surprises, and MORE
This is not a day where hundreds of young men simply sit and listen.
They will participate. They will talk. They will think. They will connect. They will be challenged.
Most importantly, we want every Young King to leave knowing:
I matter. My story matters. My voice matters. I belong. I am not alone. And I may be ONE MENTOR AWAY.
WHAT DOES R.E.A.L. STAND FOR?
R.E.A.L. Manhood 101 empowers Young Kings to develop a R.E.A.L. mindset:
R — Reject Passivity: Don't sit back and wait for life to happen. Take action.
E — Expect the Greater Reward: Make decisions based on where you want to go, not just what feels good right now.
A — Accept Responsibility: Own your choices, your growth, and the role you play in your future.
L — Lead Courageously: Have the courage to lead yourself and positively influence others...even when it isn't easy.
The goal isn't perfection.
It's helping Young Kings develop the mindset, relationships, communication skills, confidence, and tools to make better decisions and become positive contributors in their homes, schools, communities, and world.
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING BY DESIGN
Social-emotional learning isn't something we simply talk about at RM101. It's intentionally woven throughout the experience.
Young Kings will have opportunities to develop and practice:
Self-Awareness • Self-Management • Responsible Decision-Making • Relationship Skills • Social Awareness
Through conversations, mentorship, reflection, collaboration, problem-solving, and experiential activities, students won't just hear about these skills, they'll have opportunities to use them.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The summit is designed primarily for young males in grades 7–12 from schools, youth organizations, athletic programs, churches, community organizations, mentoring programs, and families throughout the region.
Parents/family members, teachers, counselors, coaches, mentors, chaperones, and other caring adults accompanying registered Young Kings are also welcome.
Schools and organizations are encouraged to bring groups of Young Kings.
YOUNG KINGS FIRST.
Everything about this experience is designed with them in mind.
Their voices.
Their development.
Their relationships.
Their futures.
For one day, hundreds of Young Kings will walk onto a college campus and into an environment intentionally created to remind them that people believe in them, people are willing to invest in them, and their future is worth fighting for.
10 years. Hundreds of Young Kings. Countless conversations and relationships.
And we're just getting started.
