THE FINAL STEPS
A Community Walk for 100KM FOR HER
On September 19, I will walk 100KM from Chilliwack to Vancouver.
The next morning, I am asking you to walk with me.
THE FINAL STEPS is a community walk for anyone who believes that women experiencing domestic violence should not have to find their way to safety and rebuild their lives alone.
This became deeply personal for me when I realized how much the people who showed up in my own life mattered. I had people beside me when I was ready to leave, and people who helped me rebuild afterwards. Sitting in my home one day, feeling grateful for how far I had come, I found myself thinking about the woman who doesn't have that kind of support within reach.
That question became 100KM FOR HER.
On September 20, I want to turn that question into something we can actually see: hundreds of people walking together and saying, we will not leave this for women to carry alone.
You don't need to have experienced domestic violence to walk. You don't need to know the right words or understand every part of her experience. You simply need to care enough to show up.
THE FINAL STEPS is in support of SARA for Women and The Kaur Movement. Participation is open to the community, and any donations would be deeply appreciated in support of organizations helping women access safety, resources and a path forward.
Bring your family. Bring a friend. Bring your children. Walk beside someone you know or someone you have never met.
Come be part of the circle.
