1-Day Workplace Mediation Conversion Course

This is a 1-Day intensive, in-person training course designed for mediators who are qualified in other fields, such as civil and commercial, family, or community mediation, and are looking to enhance their mediation skills in a workplace dispute context.

Our trainers use a blended approach, incorporating theory, practical skills and roleplays. Our training sessions are always a relaxed environment where you can develop your current skills, practise new skills, and receive valuable feedback.

The course covers:

• Conflict Management Styles
• Costs of Conflict to Humans and Organisations
• Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
• The Calm Mediation Process
• Developing your practice as a mediator

Gain mediation experience with us after the course:

Upon satisfactory completion of the conversion course, there are pathways available to volunteer as a Calm Mediator in our Workplace mediation service.

We look for committed, reliable individuals who wish to support the community and work within a dedicated and supportive team. You need to be able to travel to do in-person mediating within the London area, with notice, as well as online mediation. We offer our skills development training sessions to our volunteers free of charge, as well as a supervision program to support your practice.

Please note that lunch is not provided during this session, but light refreshments will be available throughout.

Cancellation policy
A full refund is available within 14 days of payment, provided the course does not start within that period. After 14 days, or if the course starts within 14 days of payment, refunds are generally not available, but refunds due to exceptional circumstances are considered on a case-by-case basis.
