🔫 sierra vista CCW COURSE — Sunday 🔫Because ""winging it"" only works in ’80s action movies, not real life.
📍 Best Western sierra vista, 260 N Garden Ave, Sierra Vista, AZ, 85635
🕕 Sunday, November 15 | 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
💵 $20 prepaid online (because we all know waiting till the last minute is a rookie move):
https://www.safearizona.com/events/categories/southeast
$40 at the door (aka, the ""I forgot but now I’m here"" fee)
📚 What you’ll actually learn:
How to pick a defensive pistol without looking like you raided a ’90s video game
Ethics of use of force (because “I thought it was a Nerf gun” won’t fly in court)
Legal info that’ll save you from explaining to your kids why you’re on a news blooper reel
What to do before, during, and after a defensive shooting — spoiler: don’t post it on Facebook
Bonus session from Attorney Tim Forshey — the guy who’s been through more court battles than your favorite ’90s band breakup
🎯 Why bother with a CCW in AZ when we have constitutional carry?
Because some rules still matter, even if you didn’t finish your VHS collection:
1️⃣ 38 states recognize your Arizona CCW — your passport for legally carrying across state lines
2️⃣ Federal law says no carry near schools without a permit — no one wants the feds knocking at the door
3️⃣ Skip the background check line when buying firearms — because nobody likes waiting
4️⃣ More legal backup if you ever need it — better to be safe than explain to your lawyer how you ""didn’t know""
5️⃣ Carry concealed in bars and restaurants — yes, even where they serve tequila shots
6️⃣ Legal carry in state and national parks — for when you want to channel your inner Rambo legally
🖐️ Fingerprinting available on-site for $20 (DPS wants fresh prints — no clearance card shortcuts, sorry)
🙋♂️ FAQs:
Need a gun? Nope. This is a non-shooting class.
Who can take it? Anyone 21+ (or 19+ military) who wants to be smarter than their neighbors.
Shooting classes? Yep, over 50 courses — from beginner to advanced, and everything in between.
Clearance card holders? You still need fresh fingerprints.
