\ud83e\udde1 Moving with Intimacy - London! 🧡 Welcome to our second edition of Moving with Intimacy - A full day event that welcomes us to explore and connect both through movement and dance and also through some gentle opportunities for platonic touch in a tender and heartfelt way, with choice and care to stay tuned in to ourselves and our needs.

Through this delicate gathering with a shared intention for welcoming all that we are in our authentic while sometimes messy minds, Moving with Intimacy is about building and creating a heartfelt community in London!
We are invited to dance with the raw and the profound, the subtle, the silly and the sacred, gently exploring and unravelling our layers through movement, sharing, ritual and tenderness, while knowing there is always a sanctuary, always space for tears, for silence, for love and for pain also. We are welcome as we are. There is no expectation or need to do anything, only to hold the intention to be true to our hearts and bring an open mind.
There'll be a choice of 2 warm-up intro sessions before a break, and then we'll move into a free-flowing session where you can move between the Movement Temple and Touch Temple spaces. There'll be time to relax and hang out together in our sweet and secluded venue just 10 mins from Caledonian Road.
The event will begin and end with an Opening and Closing Gathering to include setting an intention and any boundaries, giving us time to land together and offering the space to share anything necessary for the event and also before we depart at the end of the day.
Please do arrive before 12pm so we can all be present and share our Opening Circle together.
Everyone is welcome - no need to bring (or find!) a partner, and also you are welcome to bring partner(s) and choose when/if you'd like to work with them - We'll always clarify what each exercise will be, so you can choose to opt in and decide how you'd like to participate.
We look forward to sharing some gentle times with you!

About the Organiser
Julia is the creator of the Moving with Intimacy Camps in June and Rumble festival, a conscious dance event that combines many different forms of movement and therapeutic practices that enable us to explore our inner and outer worlds in a safe and supportive environment. She has been teaching partner dancing for over 12 years and is the founder of London's Brazilian Forró night, Forró Family.
Julia has also created and been running Moving Connections weekly, for over 3 years in London!
Julia's work is inspired by various movement systems such as 5 Rhythms, Contact Improvisation and Ecstatic Dance through which she has been developing her own experience and understanding of dance, connection and the power of movement to bring us into the present moment and explore our relationship to ourselves and our world.
Julia is passionate about creating community in the simplest and most accessible way, welcoming all that we bring and encouraging authentic and open relating in all its forms.
Please note:
Please arrive before 12pm as it's important we are all present for the complete session.
We recommend dancing with bare feet or in flat indoor shoes.
