Kikimora Records & The Woodman Session team are delighted to welcome Tightrope Moon to Birmingham for an intimate 40-capacity show to celebrate Imbolc, the cross-quarter day which marks the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox.
This event will begin with a short floorspot (TBA) and end with a folk session, so bring your instruments. Inbetween, Tightrope Moon (duo of Seth Bye and Cori Smith) will cast a silver web as violin, viola and vocals entwine in celestial sounds and hypnotic melodies. From gronky re-imaginings of English, Swedish and American tunes to delicate compositions and ethereal improvisations, their spiraling melodies feel like secrets whispered in the dark - a dose of magic to beckon the lighter days ahead...
