Zomerzang is MWC’s summer choir for the entire community. Directed by Sally Mitchell, MWC’s Education and Outreach Director, Zomerzang 2024 will focus on medieval Spanish repertoire, drawing on music from the Cantigas de Santa Maria, the Llibre Vermell, and the Las Huelgas and Codex Calixtinus manuscripts. This repertoire encompasses a wide range of styles, from cutting-edge thirteenth-century polyphony and ethereal songs to catchy, danceable tunes. All ages are welcome; there are no gender restrictions. Music reading ability is helpful but not required. Participants may enroll for the entire series or for individual sessions.
