Using reclaimed magazines and collage materials sourced by The Green Zine, you’ll explore creative ways to make one-of-a-kind mini publications that are both personal and expressive.
Experiment with texture, colour, layering, and form while learning simple techniques such as collage, stitching, folding, and binding and rethink waste through a slow lens, celebrating the potential held within every scrap.
All equipment provided (although you are welcome to bring your own) and no experience needed. Just bring your imagination!
ABOUT THE GREEN ZINE:
Facilitating an escape from climate doomism
The Green Zine began as an independently published climate creativity magazine that through its first two issues aimed to inspire positive climate action and provide an escape from ‘doomism’ by highlighting hopeful, solution-focused approaches to the climate crisis.
As The Green Zine community grew, Scarlett opened up her practice to host collaged zine workshops using recycled materials to share the joy of mindful making. She now collaborates with brands and fellow creatives to explore slow fashion, up-cycling based themes while embracing the art of trying something new.
