“Aaron’s western-dipped folk music matches song-to-song his blissfully evocative lyrics. He pulls humanity into himself, adding in pinches of his own story for needed flavor, and simply asks you to take a closer look.”
- Jason Scot, American Songwriter
It is beyond cliche to say someone has an “old soul,” but Zach Aaron, a Cleveland, Texas-based singer/songwriter, who is just a few years into his thirties, fits that overused description if anyone does. His elegantly tarnished tenor voice, fingerpicked guitar melodies
and mix of raw honesty and abstract sentiments in his lyrics make him seem of a different time than many of his contemporaries, yet timeless, all the same.
After living and working various odd jobs across the South, spending years in the Air Force, being a saddle bronc rider,
and amassing a variety of stories from his experiences, Zach has released four studio albums with his fifth, “This Lovely War” released in May 2023.
The music of Zach Aaron sits comfortably beneath others under the Americana banner, and as far as like-minded artists Aaron would be recommended alongside, there arc dashes of Townes, a bit of Adam Carroll, some Doc Watson and a sprinkle of the Turnpike Troubadours’ Evan Felker present in what he does.

As I've been traveling around, the power and magic of a small listening room has set it's hooks firmly in me. I also have been crossing paths with musicians that are truly something special. The Gage House Sessions are coming back so that we can have something like that in Akron, and where I can bring in some of those musicians to share with you.
This series is going to be limited to 25 available seats, a suggested donation of $20 to the music, and will feature original touring acts from around North America.
Thank you for being here and being interested in something bigger than one.
