About this Event
Youth Built Change is a partnership between the University of Cincinnati and two local high schools - North College Hill High School and Goshen High School. Funded by NIH, Youth Built Change supports high school students working alongside their teachers to develop action research projects designed to increase understanding of mental health and substance abuse issues in their communities. Working through each step of the scientific research process, students design, implement, collect, and analyze data, and report findings of original research, with the goal of making a positive change in their communities. collect and analyze data, and report findings of original research, with the goal of making a positive change in their communities.
We are excited to invite you to the Youth Participatory Action Research on Wednesday, April 29th, from 11 am to 12:15 p.m. This is the culminating event of the year, where our students come together to share and celebrate their work. Poster Presentations allow students to share their research with community members like yourself, and to interact with you around their learning processes and the potential impact of their work. Mainly, we want you to see what our students have been up to and join us in celebrating them!
If you’re able to join us, please RSVP here by April 15th, and you’ll receive additional details, including room location, as the date gets closer.
