About this Event

An introductory session to raise awareness of young people's mental health for staff working with 8-18 year olds.

At a time when concerns about young people's mental health are more pressing than ever this introductory YMHFA aware session will explore the important subject of mental health and the risks and protective factors which can impact on young peoples mental health.

We will look at signs and symptoms and some of the common mental health issues affecting young people. We will also cover skills which will help you to support young people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Staff who have attended the 2 day Youth MHFA will not need to attend the YMHFA Aware

Takeaway:

Everyone who completes the session gets:

  • A certificate of attendance
  • A manual to refer to as needed
