About this Event
If you’ve enjoyed Yin Yoga, you know that it is a slow, quiet approach to postures that can help nourish the body by providing deep release of the dense connective tissues of fascia, ligaments and tendons. You may also have experienced a release in your mind and spirit as Yin Yoga provides insight and awareness as a meditative practice. The philosophical and physiological underpinnings of Yin Yoga are further enhanced with the addition of pranayama and mindfulness techniques to create a peaceful practice that will ease your body and restore your mind.
In the training, Lauren McLaren, E-RYT-500 & YACEP, will draw on her studies in Yin Yoga and Pranayama to help you develop your ability to:
- Deepen your understanding of the practice of Yin Yoga.
- Learn the art of release that is inherent to yogic practice.
- Sequence and teach a Yin Yoga class.
- Incorporate elements of Yin Yoga into your regular classes.
- Understand the philosophical and physiological elements of Yin Yoga.
- Skillfully use mindfulness and breathing techniques in your own practice and teaching.
This program qualifies for 14 CEUs with Yoga Alliance. This is a hands-on intensive featuring lessons in anatomy, asana modifications, sequencing, benefits and contraindications. You will also be provided the opportunity to practice-teach Yin Yoga with your fellow trainees during the training.
We are excited to help guide you towards a deep understanding of Yin Yoga. Our intention is for you, and your students, to reap the benefits of this nourishing and powerful practice.
