Yijun Xie - Piano Recital at St Marylebone Parish Church, 15 Aug 2025 1PM

Yijun XIE, a prodigious pianist, began his musical education at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Affiliated High School, specializing in piano performance. In September 2023, at the age of 15, he was admitted to the Talent Class for Piano at the Rubinstein National Music School in Poland, becoming the only Chinese student accepted that year. Currently, he studies piano performance under Professor Maria Murawska, the Chair of the Chopin International Piano Competition for Youth (organized by the Chopin Music Center, Szafarnia) and former Vice Rector of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.

As a young pianist, Xie Yijun has already performed solo recitals across the globe, including in Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Zhuji (China), Bydgoszcz and Tarnów (Poland), Bergamo (Italy), and Porto (Portugal).

On 15 August 2025, he will give a solo recital at St Marylebone Parish Church in London, presented with the support of the Liszt Society UK and Classical-D Music, founded by Mr. Hao Yao, with renowned pianist Leslie Howard serving as Co-Artistic Director.
