Cohan (played by a tap-dancing James Cagney) recounts his life from vaudeville to Broadway, culminating in FDR presenting him with the Congressional Gold Medal. This exuberant musical biopic blends patriotic pageantry, Warner Bros. dynamism, and mid-century optimism.
