About this Event
Dracula, an 1897 Gothic horror novel by Irish author Bram Stoker, tells the story of Count Dracula's attempt to move from Transylvania to England to spread his curse, and the group led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing that hunts him down. Told through an epistolary format (letters, diaries, and newspaper articles), the book defined the modern vampire, exploring themes of Victorian anxieties, sexuality, and colonialism, and has become a cornerstone of horror literature and film.
