About this Event
Join us on April 17th, for a special Narasimha Yajna (Yajnotsavam) as we commemorate Akshaya Tritiya (happens to be on April 19th) and seek blessings from Lord Narasimha before His appearance on Narasimha Chaturdashi.
The term "akshaya" signifies imperishable, making it highly auspicious for commencing new endeavors. Whatever one undertakes for Krsna on this day yields eternal benefits. Akshaya Tritiya also marks significant events such as the commencement of the Mahabharata compilation by Lord Ganesh, the initiation of chariot construction for the annual Chariot Festival at Jagannath Puri, the birth of Lord Parashurama, and the descent of River Ganga to Earth, among others.
On this occasion, a special sandalwood festival is observed at the holy Simhachalam, India, extolling the glory of Lord Narasimha. Revered as the protector of devotees and the remover of obstacles on the path to the divine, Lord Narasimha invites us to come together, reconnect with His compassionate nature, and offer prayers for the well-being of ourselves, our loved ones, and people worldwide.
The evening's program includes kirtan, a brief discourse on the significance of Narasimha Dev and Akshaya Tritiya, followed by a yajna led by our temple priests where everyone can partake in mantra chanting. You can also participate in the homa by purchasing tickets to make direct oblations.
Schedule:
6:30 PM - Gaur Arati
7:15 PM - Talk on Lord Narasimha & Akshaya Tritiya
8:00 PM - Narasimha Homa

This homa is a part of our temple celebrations, as we seek blessings and protection for the entire community from Lord Narasimha.
