Dive into the sacred ocean of Kirtan with Punnu Singh Wasu and his musicians and enjoy a unique concert of various Indian music flavours.
In 2023 Punnu performed his first Kirtan in Berlin with amazing local musicians and it was a BIG PARTY. We can't wait to share this experience again this year with you!
Punnu’s musical style is a mix of East meets West – Indian Fusion. The concerts he leads often build from a slow, meditative tempo to a high paced catharsis. He has a remarkably soulful voice that touches the deepest chord in even the most casual listener and it is common for his audiences to clap their hands or stand up and dance during his concerts.
Together we will sing, dance and meditate. The journey is guided by ceremonial heart-opening cacao from our favorite brand Suyana Spirit.
W HAT IS KIRTAN
Kirtan is a form of devotional chanting whose roots go back over thousands of years to India. It is a form of Bhakti Yoga (yoga of devotion) and these ancient chants (mantras) are energetic sound formulas, which have a powerful transformative healing energy. Kirtan has the power to dig into the heart’s deepest well to touch and be touched by the Divine Presence.
ABOUT PUNNU SINGH WASU
Punnu is an Indian vocalist, musician, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He was born and raised into a family that has a true love for kirtan and spirituality. He began studying harmonium and singing at the tender age of 5. At age 10, he moved on to studying the Indian Classical Music (Hindustani) while travelling with his father throughout India singing the beautiful verses of Kirtan.
Nowadays, he performs Kirtan, Xstatic Kirtan, Indian Fusion, Indian Classical music, Sufi, Bollywood music as well as Sound Healing around the world. Punnu is featured in the documentary The Power of Mantra and he has his own Kirtan Academy and Sound Healing Academy and also leads music workshops in combination with yoga & meditation globally.
