Join WWE Illinois at the 2026 Women’s Adventure Film Fest at First Ascent in Avondale. Returning for its 9th year, showcasing an adrenaline-fueled, curated selection of short films celebrating courageous women and their, often, boundary-pushing outdoor pursuits. The 2026 tour features unique, carefully selected, short films that highlight that being adventurous doesn't always mean being the fastest or highest, but rather stepping outside your comfort zone This event is sponsored by the Chicago chapter of the American Alpine Club and there will be a prize raffle for all in attendance.
COST: $18 to be paid to First Ascent at the door

Each year, the festival brings together the best and brightest of the outdoor community, offering a space for meaningful dialogue and inspiring new generations of filmmakers. The Women’s Adventure Film Fest is a public event and not exclusive to WWE Illinois members.

There is a small FREE parking lot located adjacent to the building. Street parking is also available.
EVENT GUIDELINES FOR SICKNESS: Please be mindful of other members attending the events. If you have developed cold or flu-like symptoms leading up to the event, please cancel your spot in Eventbrite and notify the ambassador hosting the event.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly.**
