Wuntanara have been celebrating West African Music, Dance and Culture in the UK since 2009! Whether you have been part of the Wuntanara family for years, or are new to the family, you are invited to mark our 15th anniversary! Join exceptional artists Souleymane Compo, Brenda Mayr, Idrissa Camara and special guests for an afternoon of African drumming and dance workshops, and ‘Dundunba’ drumming and dance party at Unit 3 Studios in Kennington Oval. And all are welcome to celebrate with us into the evening at Mingles Bar and Restaurant on Brixton Road.

Workshop schedule:
1-3 pm Djembe & Dundun workshop – Souleymane Compo - £20
3.15-4.45pm – Guinean Dance – Brenda Mayr - £15
5 – 6.30pm Dundun Dance – Idrissa Camara - £15
6.30 – 7pm - Dundunba – Drum & Dance Party – Donations welcome!
Contact [email protected] to book your place on the workshops. Limited djembes are available to hire, for £2 extra. Dunduns will be provided for the Dundun and Dundun dance workshops.
All are welcome to join us for an after party at Mingles Bar & Restaurant, 260 Brixton Rd, London SW9 6AQ from 8pm till late!
