Jackson Art Center in partnership with Washington Studio School invite you to an engaging conversation with the leaders of , a cornerstone of the DC art scene since 2002. Co-Founder & Director Victoria Reis and Exhibitions & Programs Coordinator Camille DeSanto will dive into Transformer’s 20-year history of elevating emerging artists through global partnerships and innovative exhibitions. Discover how they’ve helped shape the local creative landscape, how collectors are finding new talent at their events, and what’s next for the organization’s exciting future.


About Victoria Reis

Victoria Reis is the Co-Founder and Executive & Artistic Director ofTransformer, where she has led over 500 exhibitions and programs supporting emerging artists since 2002. A veteran curator and writer, she also launched the Siren Arts residency and serves as a founding member ofCommon Field. Her career in arts advocacy includes leadership roles at Monmouth Arts and the National Association of Artists’ Organizations.


About Camille DeSanto

Camille DeSanto is the Exhibitions and Programs Coordinator at Transformer DC, where she manages the curation and installation of multiple annual exhibitions while supporting over 300 artists through mentorship programs. With a background in photojournalism and editorial work for The GW Hatchet, she also oversees operational logistics such as hiring and connecting with new talent at major cultural events.
