About this Event
This workshop will explore a subconscious route into writing whether that be inspired by words, poetry, articles or provocations. This is a space to feel excited, curious and open minded whilst exploring our own connection to grief , in whatever form that may be. With no requirement or expectation to finish or showcase work, this is a chance to explore and play.
To get to the workshop, take the lift to the 3rd Floor. Turn left when you come out. Go through the double doors and the Chief Librarian's Office will be directly to your left.
My Mum's Dead Boyfriend R&D
These workshops are part of a larger project No Door Theatre are running - My Mum's Boyfriend R&D. Following the death of Sarah's mum's partner, she wanted to see more work about how we experience grief when the loss isn't a direct family member. No Door Theatre are going to explore the hierarchy of grief and celebrate our non-traditional relationships, creating a fun and formally innovative piece of art. This is an Arts Council National Lottery Project Grant funded project and is being run with support from multiple bereavement and mental health organisations including 42nd Street, Let's Talk About Loss and Cruse Bereavement Care.
