Wraparound: Inclusion in Action
Join us in person for Wraparound: Inclusion in Action training.
Who Should Attend
This training is designed for schools and childcare settings that provide wraparound provision, including breakfast clubs, after‑school clubs, and holiday clubs.
Session Overview
Expert trainers, will explore a range of topics essential to inclusive wraparound practice, including:
- Understanding Inclusion
A clear introduction to what inclusion means within wraparound settings. - Overview of Disabilities
A broad look at a range of disabilities, with a more detailed focus on ADHD, Autism, Global Developmental Delay, and Sensory Processing Disorder. - Communication Approaches
An introduction to alternative communication tools, a total communication approach, including Makaton. - Behaviour Support
Strategies grounded in trauma‑informed and person‑centred approaches, with an emphasis on prevention and effective intervention during escalated behaviours or challenging situations.
Resources Provided
Each participant will receive:
- A set of visual cards
- A “now and next” board
- Templates for all resources discussed during the session
The session will also include time for networking, along with hot drinks and a slice of cake, providing space to reflect on good practice with colleagues.
Each learner will also receive a certificate of attendance; we look forward to welcoming colleagues from across the childcare sector.
