About this Event
CMHA Calgary is pleased to welcome acclaimed poet Wakefield Brewster for an evening of poetry, storytelling, and community connection.
Through a powerful Professional Interactive Poetic Presentation (PiPP), Wakefield blends spoken word performance with audience engagement, exploring themes of mental health, recovery, addiction, homelessness, and the power of creativity in healing.
This special evening will feature live poetry, a conversation-style exchange with CMHA Calgary representatives, and opportunities for audience reflection and interaction.
Poetry has a unique way of helping us process experiences, share stories, and connect with one another. This event invites participants to lean into creativity and consider how writing and expression can support mental wellness and recovery.
