About this Event

This session gives an overview of the importance of vocabulary in the curriculum, and provides an introduction to Word Aware, a structured whole school approach aimed at promoting the vocabulary development of all children in a setting.

Aims:

Gain an awareness of Word Aware.
Explore how Word Aware can be used to support the spoken and written vocabulary of children and young people.
To know how you can find out further information.

Please note: This course will be run as an online training session via Microsoft Teams. When you book, you will receive information about how to access the training and how the session will be run. You will receive emails and the invite from [email protected].

Please note that our training courses and workshops are designed to be interactive, to ensure participants get the most from the session. With this in mind, we ask that you check to ensure that both your camera and microphone are working prior to the course.

Each person attending the training needs to purchase an individual ticket. Several participants may join the training from the same device but each participant must have purchased an individual ticket. Additional participants who have not bought a ticket are not allowed to sit and watch the training, either in or out of the camera view, and will be asked to leave.

More than 2 weeks before the start date – no charge/full refund.
Less than 2 weeks before the start date – full charge applies.

Transfer policy:

You may transfer your place on a course to an alternative participant or to an alternative date at any time prior to the start date but please inform us of the change.
Failure to attend a course will not entitle you to transfer to another course/date and neither will you be able to transfer your place to others.
