Join us and 250+ attendees for the third annual Women in Sports Data Sympoisum 2024 for a day of conversation featuring incredible women working in sports analytics across the technical spectrum. The event will take place at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

Door Registration ($150) is available from 6pm ET on Friday, September 6 through noon on Saturday, September 7. You must purchase this ticket online and show your receipt at the registration table.
What we do
As the tech and sports industries grow in importance and influence, women remain heavily underrepresented—to the detriment of all.
The Women in Sports Data initiative aims to amplify women's voices in sports analytics across the technical spectrum and to foster community through a one-day symposium featuring incredible women working in technical roles in professional sports.
In addition the symposium, we hold a virtual project-based data hackathon open to women and non-binary individuals who have never worked full-time in professional sports, offering the opportunity to work with exclusive tracking data sets typically unavailable to the general public and tackle real-world problems with guidance from industry professionals. This year's competition features anonymized bat tracking data from Philadelphia Phillies Minor League affiliate games. The hackathon takes place in the summer over a six-week sprint and culminates with the top three teams presenting at the symposium to compete for $10,000 in cash prizes.
Who we are
Women in Sports Data is literally #GameChanging. We're a grassroots volunteer network of analysts, engineers, and executives working in the professional sports analytics industry. Analytics in sport is about uncovering an edge. We believe that giving women a platform is integral to competitive innovation.
We're building the front offices of the future through:
- ✨ A networking event for women and non-binary individuals in the sports analytics industry
- ✨ A mentorship and development incubator for talented young analysts, engineers, and data scientists looking to break in
- ✨ An opportunity for professional teams and analytics companies to discover the next big thing in sports
Venue
The event will be held in person in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, on Saturday, September 7. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Please bring a valid ID to enter the ballpark.
Ticket Scale
We offer tickets on an honor system scale because we don't want cost to keep anyone from attending. Our scale directly subsidizes students & early career tickets to make this event more accessible.
- 💼 $125 (Company-funded): For people whose organizations/employers are covering the cost of their ticket
- 🙋🏻♀️ $80 (Self-funded): For people who are paying for their own ticket out of pocket

Location & Transportation
Citizens Bank Park is located at 1 Citizens Bank Park Way in South Philadelphia. Entrance to the ballpark for Women in Sports Data is on Pattison Avenue at the "Club and Suites Entrance at Home Plate," directly across from Lincoln Financial Field. Look for a Welcome sign for Women in Sports Data.
