About this Event
Women’s running continues to grow, yet many runners still find the final weeks before race day, the taper, one of the most mentally challenging parts of training. Stepping back from high mileage, trusting that the work is done, and shifting focus toward feeling fresh, fuelled, and ready can be difficult without the right guidance.
“Women in Running: Rest, Readiness and Race Day” is designed to support you through this crucial phase of marathon preparation. With a focus on the taper period, this session explores how to prioritise recovery, sharpen readiness, and arrive at the start line in the best possible position to perform. We’ll touch on key areas including nutrition, training adjustments, sleep, and rest - helping you feel confident in how you approach the final weeks.
Join us for an evening of practical insight, expert discussion, and shared experience. Through a panel conversation and open Q&A, we’ll break down how to approach the taper with confidence - so you can move into race day feeling rested, prepared, and in control.
