Michaela Slinger -

Michaela Slinger is a “legendary songbird-in-the-making” shining new light on old feelings like love, longing, and uncertainty. Her sophomore record ‘This Can’t Last Forever’ received acclaim from RANGE, The Georgia Straight, Portside Live, Daily Hive, and CBC Music, and was written between her muse cities of Nashville, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Toronto with collaborators including Khalid Yassein (Wild Rivers) and Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen).

Michaela embarked on a 19-city North American tour throughout the summer of 2023 to share her album in what she tongue-in-cheekily describes as “the old-fashioned way”. It appears that strategy worked—she was hand-picked to open for Dermot Kennedy, Sasha Alex Sloan, and Donovan Woods along the way, landed the cover of Amazon Music's 'Fresh Folk and Acoustic' playlist, and received spotlighting on SiriusXM's Poplandia 'About To Break' program and CBC Music’s ‘Songs You Need To Hear’.

Water in the Desert is borne of the new energy that surrounded her while working alongside her long-time collaborators. Inspired by life’s juxtaposition between beauty and grit, it’s sure to remind existing fans why they love her and compel new fans to be ushered into her world.
