About this Event
Welcome to the Women Awakening Book Club! I wanted to bring together a group, a community of like-minded women who love to read, nurture their inner wisdom and celebrate the divine feminine that they are. By being open, curious is how we grow and expand.
We will meet every 6-8 weeks in a London cafe, where we discuss a particular book. The range of books will focus on self-development, spirituality, women empowerment and ways we can relate this to our everyday world. Each session we will discuss and share our insights from the book and most importantly how these learnings can be embodied as we grow. I will guide the gathering, with key discussion points, however the main goal is for me to create space and allow the sharing of wisdom within the group.
F or our next event in May we will discussing the book "Daring Greatly" by Brené Brown. You can purchase the book at your local book store, online or see if you can borrow it at your local library.
There will be a small fee for joining the gathering of £7. This will include a tea or coffee at the venue and an organisers fee. This ensures that we are supporting the venue and any costs that occur in supporting the book club, so we can continue to run this going forward. The fee is refundable if the cancellation occurs a week before the event. I recommend you RSVP in advance to book your space and leave you sufficient time to read the book. I will close the RSVP 1 day before the event, to allow sufficient time to finalise numbers for the venue. The groups will be small and will only hold a max of 8 people.
To make sure we keep an enjoyable, safe and non-judgemental space, here are the Book Club Rules:- Please RSVP on time and if something changes and you can’t attend please let me know as soon as possible, so I can offer that place to someone else- Please arrive on time. We have so much to discuss so we want to maximise the time and explore as many insights as we can.- Please try to finish the book so you can contribute to the discussion. Sometimes we know life gets in the way, and if you haven’t completed the book, you can still attend and contribute as much as possible. - Allow a space for everyone to be heard. Please be respectful and open, even in times of disagreement. We want to avoid a space where there is interruption or certain members are dominating the conversation. - Given the nature of the topics, members may share very personal experiences or emotions. Please respect that this is a confidential space.
Most of all have fun, grow, expand, allow us to connect with our inner wisdom as we sit in the company of some amazing women!
