Join us for a nourishing morning of crafting and chatting at The Green in Nunhead, South London.
Craft & Chat is a monthly women’s circle for mothers at any stage of matrescence.
Whether you’re parenting a toddler or a teenager, we all benefit from a space to talk openly and be listened to without judgement.
Mothers’ circles are a sanctuary where our voices weave a tapestry of wisdom, healing and sisterhood. Gift yourself with two hours of support, rest and creativity. Facilitated by Maru Rojas, Parenting Coach and Aware Parenting Instructor.
At Craft & Chat we also make something with our hands and learn a new craft. Crafting allows us to pause the stories running in our head and arrive at the present moment. Crafting makes people feel good, because we're working with our hands to make something creative, which is what humans evolved to do.

What you can expect:
We will make a different craft for each circle. You do not need to have any experience crafting or making things or identify as being “creative”.
The circles don’t have a theme, but I may introduce some ideas relating to motherhood or parenting such as: mum rage, re-parenting, matrescence, the emotional load
The price of each circle includes all materials needed to make something to take home. It also includes a tea or coffee, biscuits, pastries and fresh fruit.
What happens in a circle?
- Our mothers' circle begins with a soothing crafting activity, offering a relaxing space to unwind, connect with your creativity, and enjoy a hot drink and nourishing food. This casual, welcoming environment sets the stage for connection, reflection, and growth.
- Guided by a set of compassionate and respectful guidelines, we'll create an atmosphere where everything shared within the circle stays within the circle.You'll be invited to share whatever thoughts, feelings, or experiences feel most significant in your life at the moment.
- As we listen and connect, you may find emotions rising to the surface. Laughter, tears, joy, or even anger and frustration are all welcome here. We'll create a space where these emotions can flow freely, acknowledging and honoring every experience that is shared.
- By connecting through our shared stories and emotions, we create a powerful support network rooted in understanding and empathy. As we close the circle with a grounding practice, you'll leave feeling rejuvenated, supported, and liberated – ready to face the world with newfound strength and inspiration.
Our mothers' circle is perfect for you if:
