Legacy, Leadership & Community
About this Event
Presented by WIM Music Philly Chapter, Philadelphia Music Alliance & The Recording Academy Philadelphia Chapter
Hard Rock Cafe on Wednesday March 25th from 6pm-9pm
This Women’s History Month, the WIM Music Philly Chapter, the Philadelphia Music Alliance, and the Recording Academy Philadelphia Chapter unite to celebrate the women who have shaped, and continue to shape, Philadelphia’s music legacy.
Set in the spirit of connection and collaboration, this dynamic networking event will be anchored by a powerful feature panel: an intergenerational conversation between three influential Philadelphia women representing three distinct generations of leadership in the city’s music ecosystem. From trailblazers who paved the way, to mid-career changemakers redefining the industry, to rising innovators building what comes next, this conversation will explore mentorship, evolution, advocacy, artistry, and the future of music in Philadelphia.
Attendees will gain insight into how each generation has navigated opportunity and adversity, how the local industry has transformed over time, and how cross-generational collaboration can strengthen the city’s creative economy. The discussion will also spotlight the importance of representation, ownership, and sustainable pathways for women across performance, production, executive leadership, and community impact.
This Women’s History Month gathering is more than a celebration, it’s a call to bridge generations, amplify women’s voices, and invest collectively in the future of Philadelphia music.
