1974 in Frankfurt born Wolfgang Flur is best known as the electro drummer of the German electronic band Kraftwerk since 1973 • Flur developed with his musical partner Florian Schneider the ever first electric drumpads-board for the Electric Quartet • Flür is on every Kraftwerk album with his minimal drumming and tours with the band between “Autobahn“ and “Electric Cafe“ • Since 1993 Flur is the founder of Yamo. The album“Time Pie“ (EMI Electrola) was released in 1976 in co-production with Andi Toma of Mouse on Mars • Flur’s next release, a 12“ with remixes of “I Was A Robot“ (Holon), climed number 4 of German Club Charts • “I Was A Robot“ is Flur’s sung autobiography and was especially produced on CD for the German book in a parallel edition • An English edition was published in 2000 called “I Was a Robot“ (Sanctuary Publishing), describing his memoreis and view on the inner works of Kraftwerk. The book was subsequently released in six different Territories and was in the Top Ten of best selling music books in 2004 (The Independent) and 2010 in the ten best music histoires (The Observer) • Flur also released a weird short story book on the Germans of the Rhineland area in 2011, entitled “Neben Mir“ (next to me) • Wolfgang undertakes book readings in Germany and in England (very selected) • Since 2005 Wolfgang has been presenting music and videos in clubs and on festivals worldwide, playing tech house, industry and electro-pop specialities of his own, of Kraftwerk and of international artists who he’s friendly with • Flur has collaborated with Bon Harris’ (Nitzer Ebb) Shadow Bureau project and lent his lyrics and voice for the track “Axis of Envy“ • Flur also collaborated with Anni Hogan
(former Marc Almond & The Mambas) for the track “Golden Light“ (lyrics and vocals) as well as on “Fashion
Machine“ (lyrics and voice) with Bostich (Ramon Amezcua) of Nortec Collective / Mexico and currently with
Jack Dangers of Beat Manifesto with “Staying in the Shadow“ • Wolfgang releases a new pop music album,
ELOQUENCE, in autumn 2015 in the US and UK with a collection of new songs and collaborations, subheading “complete works“• Flur’s current stage performances under the moniker “MUSIK SOLDAT“ show videos and rare images from his Kraftwerk past shot to present projects added with selected electro tunes for dancing • Wolfgang sees himself as a music presenter with historical electric background • ELOQUENCE reaches # 16 of US independent radio charts in January 2016 • 2018 Flür undertakes a succesful UK and European tour with his MUSIK SOLDAT program. He is currently working on his 3rd solo album – “MAGAZINE“ for release July 2021• In 2019 Flür played big festivals such as Jazz Festival Montreux (with Chemical Brothers), Sinner’s Day Festival Belgium, Grand Prix Festival Singapore. Wolfgang was announced on The G;astonbury Festival 2019. This is postponed to 2022 due to the corona pandemic. He club tours in UK and Europe
