Enjoy the opportunity to discover the hidden world of wildflower form, structure, and color on the Chimney Rock Trail. Using a hand lens (provided), observe flower details that will give you an enhanced appreciation of flower diversity. Engage in conversation about the concepts of biological diversity and native vs. non-native plants.Walk lasts three hours on the Chimney Rock Trail, approximately a 2-mile roundtrip walk. Ability to kneel on the ground provides the best experience but is not a requirement. Bring water, snacks and layers for the possibility of wind, rain or chilly weather.
Walks are FREE, but limited to 20 participants and advance registration is required. To sign up visit go.nps.gov/PointReyesCalendar and follow the instructions listed on event pages.
