Wicca Full Moon Ritual : Venus & Luxmi magic - by Thames, London

Join us for our monthly riverside Full moon ceremony. We gather by Millennium Bridge (south bank), collect all attendees, then walk down steps to riverbank. There in secluded space under cover, on sandy grounds, we set up altar to hold our ritual.

We are very friendly and down to earth folks, who can be mirthful and yet show serious reverence when required.

These rituals are suitable for all New comers, experienced Pagans, Magicians, Witches, Goddess-worshippers and especially those of you interested in exploring Wicca & ritual magic.

Aquarius full moon & Venus Luxmi magic

This ritual takes place on the eve of Fullmoon (which is next morning) so as to attune to maximum waxing moon energy. We will be working with Aphrodite & Luxmi Goddesses to open heart chakra, and welcome in love, romance and good friendships and connections into our lives..

Ritual Outline / schedule:

• We open with a short Tree-energy pathworking (you can stand or be seated) for energy opening.
• This is followed by Wiccan style consecration with blessed salt/water and incense for purification.
• Then a magic circle is cast with a wand, and visualisation..
• Elements Air, fire, water, earth are called in east, south, west, north.
• We raise group energy with easy chants while circling the altar.
• Then call on Moon Goddess & Honed God God energies.
• We then have a moment for some magical working. This varies each time. Healing work, group spellcraft, Rune chants for wealth, health, love, protection.. are possible variations.
• We finish the ceremony with communal blessing of all the food & drinks people brought, then close circle and feast.

No prior knowledge is required
We facilitate this ceremony, with explanations and guidance. However please attend with an open mind.

Meeting point (please read this carefully):

Gather on the pavement-steps under the the Millennium Bridge (south bank side, near Tate Modern Gallery) .

Nearest postcode is : London SE1 9JE.

One of our team member will be there with a Lantern to meet you all! We walk down to river bank, set up altar and start ceremony.

Riverside Terrain Safety / access:

• Thames & Tides:
  Our rituals tale place on the actual river bank... just few meters away from the water. We organise these Thames-rituals **at low tide** after checking Port of London authority Thames Tide time tables..
• The altar and ritual space are under cover (underneath a section of the pavement) and on sandy ground. Shoes/ boots will *not* get wet (unless you go to river edge).
• These events are held in a public area by riverbank, with some wet concrete steps going down, amd gravel to walk. It may be not easy or suitable for some people with mobility, respiratory, heart issues.
• We regret organisers don't have the manpower to physically assist anyone attending with mobility or health issues. But you are welcome to bring a Support person / Carer who can assist you.

General conduct & inclusivity:

Please be kind, compassionate and on good behaviour throughout the whole gathering. We have a mixture of experienced & beginners at these rituals. Also, some people may have hidden difficulties, vulnerability and disabilities.

• We will not tolerate any form of bullying harassment or discrimination.
• While organisers are not experts, we will do our best to safeguard.

OPTIONAL- items to bring

• moon crowns, flower crowns, antler crowns ( real or artifical craft items).
• optional- ritual cloaks / capes, masks you may like to wear.
  *Torch light for safe walking in woods/ riverside at night.
• extra warm clothing & rain-coats/ outdoor shoes or boots (and ankle covered socks! ).
• small ground sheet or blanket to sit on for social.
• Lanterns / candles
• Your own Cups/chalice to drink from
• Food / drinks to share (unopened shop-packaged items only for covid safety reasons)

Policy:
NO Drugs, NO filming during ritual ! No children (under 18yrs) allowed. Our events are for members' personal, magical, spiritual purposes only!

About the Organiser & Woodland Witches:

Mani is a Sri Lankan asian, brought up as Hindu, has lived in Uk since 1985. He was initiated into Wicca (modern Witchcraft path) in mid 90's. As a Gardnerian High Priest, Mani has been running private Covens & public rituals for over 25years. Hern's Tribe (est 2004) still works shamanically in woods in S.London, while `London Woodland Witches' - started in 2014 , aims to hold Wiccan/ general pagan Rituals in all major woods & parks around London to make it accessible to everyone. Many regular rituals also held by riverside in central London. Mani has a Physics B.Sc degree, some training in Transpersonal Psychology & counselling, and blends some Hindu & Shamanic practices into pagan rituals.
