WiBA invites you to join us for a special evening of dance at Elmhurst Ballet School, associate school of Birmingham Royal Ballet based in Edgbaston. The evening will start with an exclusive VIP drinks and canapés reception at 6.15pm, with curtains up in Elmhurst’s fabulous theatre at 7pm.
The Summer Gala showcases the work of Elmhurst’s talented and aspiring young dancers aged 11-19, some of whom will be performing at Elmhurst for the final time before joining prestigious ballet companies all over the world. A variety of classic repertoire and brand new choreography, the gala performance includes performances in ballet, contemporary, jazz and flamenco.
One of the UK’s oldest vocational schools, Elmhurst’s philosophy is that talent is classless and thanks to Government scholarships and the generosity of donors and supporters, the school ensures that talented young people from all backgrounds are able to access its world class dance training and education with over 80% of its students receiving financial assistance towards fees.
We are delighted to offer this exciting event at £20 for members and £25 for guests. This includes complimentary drinks and canapés at the pre-show reception. Places are limited for this event so early booking is recommended.
