Join us for a 3-mile loop, featuring scenic views of the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Sign, designed to blend movement, mindfulness, and community. We’ll begin by setting an intention together, hike at a relaxed and welcoming pace, and pause at the top for a guided meditation led by Gitanjalie Misra and Makeda Bullock Floyd.
Along the way, enjoy space for reflection, conversation, and genuine connection. We’ll close with time to stretch, cool down, and ground before heading out—feel free to bring a snack to share. Light snacks will also be provided.
Whether you’re seeking clarity, connection, or simply time in nature, this experience invites you to slow down and come home to yourself.
How to Prepare
- Wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes
- Bring water to stay hydrated
- Dress in layers for changing morning temperatures
- A hat and sunscreen are highly recommended
- Light snacks will be provided. Feel free to bring a small snack if you’d like to share at the end.
Key Details: Meeting Point & Parking
- Meeting Point: Meeting point will be at the Golden Wing Statue near the parking lot and bathrooms.
- Start Point: The trail begins behind the Griffith Observatory parking lot, near the Charlie Turner Trailhead.
- Parking: Paid parking is available at the Observatory ($10-$15/hour as of 2025/2026), but it fills up quickly. Free parking is available further down the hill along Fern Dell Drive and Western Canyon Road.
- Access: The trail is a wide, moderate fire road hike to the summit, offering panoramic views of the city, Hollywood Sign, and observatory.
