Welcome to Volume 3 of Rooted & Rising! This session focuses on deepening your body connection through Radical Acceptance.
About this Event

This is what happens when two communities that refuse to leave anyone behind find each other.

Wellness For The People and BlacklistLA are joining forces for something LA has never seen: a community run through the heart of the city, followed by a wellness experience to restore, recover, and land. All of it free. All of it for you.

This month's theme is Radical Acceptance, an invitation to meet yourself exactly where you are. And what better way to do that than moving through your own city, with your community, at your own pace.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We'll start with a nice, easy run from Elysian Park, cruise past Dodger Stadium (home of the World Series champions 🏆), loop around Echo Park Lake with views of DTLA, and finish back at Elysian.

After the run, we tap in. Breathwork, sound bath, recovery movement, and real tools to help your body land and restore. Plus recovery snacks, hydration by our partners, great tunes, and vibes all morning.

This is not your average Saturday. This is 3 hours of movement, community, and care, no experience required, no pretentious vibes.

✦ Community run through LA with BlacklistLA + Erik Valiente ✦ Breathwork + centering ✦ Sound bath + recovery movement ✦ Vibes all morning + recovery snacks and surprises

ABOUT BLACKLISTLA + ERIK VALIENTE

BlacklistLA is a Los Angeles-based running community rooted in movement, culture, and connection, and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing safe, inclusive environments for everyone through weekly running events.

Erik Valiente is the Executive Director and Head Coach of BlacklistLA. With over 20 years of running experience, having completed the World Marathon Majors, and a career dedicated to building inclusive spaces that inspire people to move, explore their city, and prioritize their health, Erik has spent over a decade creating something rare: a community where movement, culture, art, and wellness converge into everyday life.

He has been doing this since 2013. Before running was cool. We think Erik made running cool.
