About this Event
There’s a growing gap between what businesses need and what traditional hiring gives them. More pressure, more complexity, more expectations but often without the budget or certainty to justify another full-time role.
This session is hosted by Kat Wellum-Kent (Fracteura), following the publication of The Fractional Revolution white paper, and brings that thinking into the room. It explores how founders are rethinking team design across finance, HR, sales and marketing and why fractional is becoming a more deliberate choice, not a stopgap.
The data behind it is hard to ignore. Nearly half of founders say cashflow is their biggest constraint when scaling. More than half are still wearing five or more roles. Confidence in whether their current team can deliver the next stage of growth is, in most cases, uncertain.
Against that backdrop, more businesses are turning to experienced operators who embed into the team, shape decisions and deliver outcomes, without committing to a full-time hire too early.
This is not about replacing hiring. It is about timing it better.
The panel will bring together leaders working fractionally across different functions, alongside live input from the room. Expect a direct conversation about what fractional actually looks like in practice, where it works, where it falls down, and how it compares to freelancers, consultants and part-time hires. We'll also look at how AI is shifting the value of experience, and why the erosion of the generalist middle is pushing more founders toward senior fractional specialists.
Attend if you are trying to build a team that matches the reality of your business, not the org chart designed in a different era of work.
