About this Event

In partnership with Action for Children

πŸ“ Location: University of Westminster, Marylebone Building, Room M212
πŸ“… When: 19 March
⏰ Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
What Is the WCB?

Westminster Charity Bazaar is a student-led sustainable fashion pop-up created as part of the University of Westminster’s Staging an Event module.

We’re giving pre-loved clothes a second life β€” while raising funds for Action for Children.

Donate. Browse. Discover something unique. Support a brilliant cause.

πŸ‘• Step 1: Donate (9–12 March)

We’re collecting good-quality clothing items in advance of the event.

πŸ“ Donation box: Reception, Marylebone Building
πŸ“… Collection dates: 9–12 March

We are accepting:

β€’ Coats
β€’ Jackets
β€’ Blazers
β€’ Trousers
β€’ Shorts
β€’ Jeans
β€’ Belts
β€’ Tops
β€’ T-shirts
β€’ Bags

You can donate one item or several β€” every contribution makes a difference.

Please ensure items are in very good condition β€” no stains, holes, or visible damage.

πŸ› Step 2: The Bazaar (19 March)

On 19 March, the donated clothes will be carefully cleaned, organised and made available for students to take home in exchange for a charitable contribution.

πŸ’° Affordable pieces from Β£2–£30
πŸ’³ Payment methods: Card and QR code only (no cash).
πŸ› Items are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved.

All proceeds will go directly to Action for Children.
Any unsold clothing will also be donated to the charity.

πŸ‘— Trying Items On

Visitors will be able to use the bathroom next door to try items on.
We recommend wearing something easy to change in and out of.

🎟 Tickets & Entry

If you would like to attend, please register via this Eventbrite page. Registration is free and will help us manage capacity on the day.

There is no cost to attend.

If the room reaches capacity, we may kindly ask guests to queue briefly or return a few minutes later to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for everyone.

πŸ’› Do I Have to Take Something Home?

Not at all.

You are warmly invited to come along, browse, and enjoy the atmosphere β€” even if you don’t take anything home.

If you would still like to support the cause, there will be the opportunity to make a voluntary donation on the day.

Whether you donate, purchase, browse, or simply show up in support, your presence genuinely matters.

Why Attend?

β€’ Support a respected UK charity
β€’ Shop sustainably and responsibly
β€’ Find affordable, one-of-a-kind pieces
β€’ Be part of a student-led community initiative
β€’ Help reduce clothing waste

Choosing second-hand extends the life cycle of garments, reduces textile waste, and lowers the environmental impact of fashion consumption.

About

Action for Children supports vulnerable children, young people and families across the UK. Their work begins in the earliest years of a child’s life and continues through childhood and adolescence, supporting young people up to the age of 18.

They provide practical and emotional support in areas including child poverty, early years development, mental health and wellbeing, support for young carers, families with disabled children, and safeguarding children at risk of neglect, abuse or exploitation.

Through community-based services and specialist programmes, they help children grow up safe, stable and supported.

Every contribution made at this event will directly support services that protect, nurture and empower children across the UK.
