Tarot Magic
Host: Mary K Greer
Info: What if Tarot were more than a tool for insight—what if it were a magical act in itself?
In this one-hour experiential workshop, you will explore the essence of Tarot magic: the art and practice of using Tarot not just to understand the world, but to change it—intentionally, symbolically, and soulfully.
Drawing from key principles in Essence of Tarot (formerly Essence of Magic), we’ll explore how tarot can serve as both mirror and catalyst. You’ll learn to approach a card not only as a message, but as a magical ally—an energy, an archetype, a force of transformation.
Through brief but potent exercises, you’ll activate cards using voice, movement, visualization, and sensory awareness. Sight, sound, touch, and scent will guide you into direct contact with each image. Essential oils—carefully chosen for their elemental and symbolic resonance—will help unlock intuition, enhance focus, and make the work bloom on multiple levels.
We’ll work with my favorite definitions of magic such as “a ch

The Holy Grail: Tracing the Origins of the Fool’s Journey in the Tarot.
Host: David Mitchell
Info: The Holy Grail: Tracing the Origins of the Fool’s Journey in the Tarot to the Soul’s Journey in the Indigenous Dreaming Trail of the Swan River, Western Australia.
One of the greatest mysteries of the Tarot is the origin of its story. In this presentation, I invite you on a unique journey as I share how I mapped each of the 22 Major Arcana cards to sacred Indigenous sites and Dreaming stories along the Swan River—from its source in the Perth Hills to its mouth at the estuary in Fremantle.
We will explore:
· How aligning Tarot cards with specific locations and stories along the Swan River can deepen, shift, or affirm their traditional meanings.
· Why I chose to rename certain cards, including why the Empress card became The Holy Grail in the Swan River Tarot.
· How the journey along the river mirrors spiritual myths from other traditions, drawing parallels between Indigenous Dreaming and stories such as:
o The Garden of Eden
o The Ark of the Covenant
o The Last Supper

The Power of Colour.
Host: Julia Chapple
Info: I am delighted to share the creative journey that led to the birth of my Oracle deck. I will be exploring the inspiration, vision, and process that brought this project into
being, beginning with the choice of its title: The Power of Colour. This title captures
the essence of my belief that colour is not merely something we see, it is a living,
transformative force. It shapes our emotions, influences our perceptions, and
deepens our spiritual experiences in ways both subtle and profound.
Each shade carries its own unique resonance, a vibration that speaks to us on levels
beyond words. In creating this deck, my intention was to translate that energetic
language into a tangible form something people could hold, work with, and use as a
guide. The Power of Colour is designed to be more than just a collection of cards; it
is a tool for connection, reflection, and empowerment, inviting individuals to explore
how the presence of colour can illuminate their inner world.

The Zig Zag of Effulgence
Host: Russell Sturgess
Info: One of the most overlooked symbols in the Marseille depiction of the Empress is a zigzag symbol found beside her left buttock. In his book, The Lost Language of Symbolism, Harold Bayley shows watermarks from the medieval period that depict a seated woman with a zigzag symbol beside her hip. He described this zigzag as a “five rayed zigzag, crest or cockscomb”. He also called it the zigzag of effulgence, that which shines brightly, often depicted on crowns symbolising “the Supreme”. In her paper, “How to read a Renaissance Fool” Anu Korhonen wrote, “The word cockscomb could be used as a synonym for the word fool.” Russell will be exploring the Empress’ role as the mother of the Fool, and how the symbols found in the Popess and the Emperor cards help to give clarity to the poignancy of what this card means to us in our pilgrimage as the Fool.

Jean-Michel David - The Empress - Who is she ? What is she ?
Host: Jean - Michel David
Info: No symbol has a single meaning, or it would cease being symbolic. Yet, ‘symbols, though having no fixity in meaning, do not lack precision’ – so what are this card’s unfixed yet precise meanings? Tomberg writes in Meditations on the Tarot:
‘The Major Arcana of the Tarot are authentic symbols. They conceal and reveal their sense at the same time, according to the depth of meditation. That which they reveal are not secrets, i.e. things hidden by human will, but are arcana, which is something quite different. An arcanum is that which it is necessary to "know" in order to be fruitful in a given domain of spiritual life. It is that which must be actively present in our consciousness — or even in our subconscious — in order to render us capable of making discoveries, engendering new ideas, conceiving of new artistic subjects. In a word, it makes us fertile in our creative pursuits, in whatever domain of spiritual life.

your clients.
Learning to look differently will open a whole new world of Tarot

on a deeper level.
Ever wondered why we have different shoe colours, types of shoes
and the direction they point??
Or why are they wearing a belt?
Sue is going to fill the gap.
Sue acknowledges the lack of courses available in symbolism and
has created a new “1 Day Tarot Symbolism Course” called “Looking
Outside The Box” that now runs separate to her 12 month Tarot
Immersion Course.

The Decanic Mysteries.
Host: Julia Chapple
Info: I am excited to introduce you to my newest creation: The Decanic Mysteries. This
deck is rooted in the ancient astrological system of the 36 decans, the hidden faces
of the zodiac. Each zodiac sign is divided into three sections of 10 degrees, and
within each decan lies its own planetary ruler, symbolism, and unique energy.
Together, they weave a deeper and more intricate story of the zodiac, revealing
layers of meaning that go far beyond the surface.
With this deck, I will also be unveiling a new concept I have developed, designed to
expand how we engage with the decans and their transformative power. Alongside
this, I will guide you through the fascinating practice of sigil creation exploring how
and why these potent symbols are formed, and how they can be used as tools of
focus, intention, and manifestation.
To make this experience truly personal, I will also invite you to create your own sigil
during the session.

Mary K Greer. 21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card.
Host: Mary K Greer
Info: What if a single Tarot card could speak directly to you—through image, gesture, symbol, and sensation? This immersive workshop invites you to experience just that, by asking “What do I most need to look at in my life right now.”
Through a series of partnered, hands-on exercises, you’ll explore many of the methods found in 21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card—approaches that awaken intuitive insight, expand interpretive range, and bring the cards vividly to life. Working with one card at a time, you’ll activate its imagery so that it begins to move, speak, and resonate—not as an abstract symbol, but as a living presence that reveals something essential about your life.
These methods go far beyond memorized meanings. You’ll practice describing what you see, embodying the card’s posture, sensing emotional tone, tracing elemental and numerical patterns, and entering into symbolic dialogue—all designed to uncover the card’s many layers and personal relevance.

Host: Carolyn Johnson
🕑: 04:30 PM - 05:30 PM
Marina Lovasz. How to Ground into the Body to awaken the Oracle.
Host: Marina Lovasz
Info: Your oracle isn’t floating above you, she’s rooted within you.
In this embodied tarot workshop, Marina Lovasz offers a somatic approach to The Empress archetype, exploring Demeter not just as nurturer, but as a frequency that lives in your body, in your breath, your belly, your instinct.
You’ll be guided through practices that support you to come home to your own rhythm, awaken intuitive clarity, and experience tarot as a living language between the psyche and the body. This isn’t about “reading” the cards, it’s about feeling them.
Letting the archetypes move through you.
Letting your body speak before your mind interprets.
Through gentle movement, guided inquiry, and archetypal activation, you’ll reconnect with the oracle within, steady, clear, and already wise.
This session invites you to reclaim the feminine seat of knowing, not by escaping your body, but by coming deeper into it.
