About this Event
Join our Weekend Ceramics Workshop and unleash your creativity! This hands-on course is designed for all skill levels, where you'll learn essential hand-building techniques and how to use a pottery wheel. Whether you want to create sculptural art or functional items, our experienced tutor will guide you through the process. You'll have the opportunity to craft unique pieces that you can take home at the end of the workshop. All basic materials are provided, so just bring your enthusiasm and ideas!
Who is it for?
The general ceramics 1 day workshop is open to students of all levels. There are many techniques to master (too many for one day), so you may need to register on to more than one session, if you want to develop a project or skill.
What does it cover?
Students will set up their workspace and can learn skills like: centring the clay and opening it into a vessel, shaping their creations using the wheel, as well as various hand-building techniques such as coil, slab, and sculpting. Over time, this series of workshops will provide a comprehensive introduction to both methods, allowing students to explore their creativity and develop their skills in ceramics.
