Please Note:

The fee you paid covers your pottery experience, and you can take your item home with you on the day if you prefer not to have it fired right away!

If you do want to get it fired, here are your options (pay on the day):

  • £5 to have your best item fired.
  • £15 for firing and shipping your best item directly to you.

If you’d like to have more than one item fired, please talk to us on the day.

Who is it for?

The general ceramics 1-day workshop is open to students of all levels. There are many techniques to master (too many for one day), so you may need to register on to more than one session, if you want to develop a project or skill.

What does it cover?

Students will set up their workspace and can learn skills like: centring the clay and opening it into a vessel, shaping their creations using the wheel, as well as various hand-building techniques such as coil, slab, and sculpting. Over time, this series of workshops will provide a comprehensive introduction to both methods, allowing students to explore their creativity and develop their skills in ceramics.
