Skill level: Advanced, Age 18+
This week-long course takes you through every step of making your own TV style, fur and fleece, hand & rod puppet from your own original design. From patterning to fabrication and finishing, this is an advanced and in depth course with the entire Puppet Stuff team of artists who will guide you through pro techniques and tips for the best results for on camera puppets.
Pre requisite: Intro To Foam Fabrication course or previous Puppet Stuff fabrication class (please specify in notes)
ALL attendees MUST BRING personal respirator with 60924 cartridge.
The course includes:
Day 1- Patterning
Day 2- Foam Fabrication, armatures and internal techniques
Day 3- Fabric Patterning/introduction to basic casting and molding, basic 3D printing techniques
Day 4- Sewing and Detail work
Day 5- Sewing and Detail work, Care and Maintenance
- 5 days
- Monday-Friday
- 10am-5pm every day
- Coffee and light snacks provided
All participants will be required to submit 2-3 design options prior to the workshop. Our instructors will communicate with each participant in advance to prepare for one of the submitted designs.
